The husky voiced Kamal Man Singh is back again with "Looks", his new album. He appeared amid the masses with his first album nearly two years ago and popularity kissed his feet."Parkhai Ko Peeda"was his first hit and "69' surprised the music lovers. Yet, his success was in the knees of God. But this talented young man proved himself to be a star with his heart touching creations. "Hard work and determination really pays". That's all what Kamal has to say. Cyber Nepal got exclusive with the singer for a candid talk.

How would you define "Looks" as?
"LOOKS" is the reflection of my feelings and how people visualize them through my musical eyes.

What kind of songs have you given in this album?
I have tried giving versatile songs. The album contains slow rocks, Latino flavored music, Spanish - Nepali melodies, South Indian flavored music etc.

How is this album different from '69'?
Basically '69' was more focused in western music but this time I have tried something different. I've tried to fuse the eastern music with the western flavor. I have used different musical instruments like madal, flute and sarangi with guitars etc.

Comparing '69' with 'LOOKS', which one do you think is better?
Well both are my creations and I love them equally. But critically evaluating, I like 'LOOKS' more than '69'.

This time, I've tried to concentrate on my music compositions as well as my singing style. The lyrics are also selected ones from Rudra Lamshal, Pratima, Upasana and me. However, the concepts of all the songs are mine. I have tried to refine my music along with the lyrics.

What do you expect from "LOOKS"?
The album is doing well. The songs are not monotonous and I have tried to give good songs according to my capability. My fingers are crossed and I hope that the album does well.

How is the responses?
It is very positive. I am frequently receiving phone calls, e-mails and letters
The sales are also good. Commercially also it's doing better than '69'.

Has the promotional plans helped the album commercially?
Definitely yes. I have been working hard for the promotion through concerts and music videos .The music videos are also different. We've visualized them in different places like Pokhara and Jomsom.Recently my website has also been launched which
helps people get closer to me professionally and personally.

How were the experiences while doing this album?
It was very tough. Hard work is always required to bring out a good product. It was difficult to transform the experiments into edible fruits. And yeah, I have learnt a lot too.

How do you make such a good compilation of music and songs?
For a quality song to come out there should be a good compilation of everything. In my case, lyrics come first according to which melody is created. I sing the song only if it suits my voice.

How does it feel to be a public figure?
I feel happy. Many people know me and admire my music. It feels good.
